Plant Resources

Plant choice is a key part of the success of a landscape design. With rare exception, you should choose plants that are native to the area. Native plants are acclimated to the climate and have the greatest chances of success to thrive in our climate. They are drought tollerant and resistant to disease and pests.  Below, I will add some helpful links to resources we have found useful over the years. These may help you choose things you like while also sticking to plants that are native and will succeed in your landscape. Please keep in mind that each landscape is its own unique micro-climate.  For example, some areas may have partial shade, but would not support a "partial shade" plant because of wind or nutrients or drainage, etc. We would be happy to advise you on specific locations and plants.
